We will need many days to process what happened tonight at the San Diego Comic-Con Hall H Event 2024. Kevin Feige took the stage at the iconic event to make some historic announcements. The world was, of course, hooked on every word that came out of his mouth, and let's say this out loud—he did not disappoint even a bit. While he continued to give massive updates about films, he made sure to save the big surprises for the end. As expected, the final few announcements were about the Avengers films planned for the end of Phase 6. While the major focus was on Avengers 5, now titled Avengers: Doomsday, Feige ensured Avengers: Secret Wars fans didn't go home disappointed.

Avengers: Secret Wars Gets New Directors

At Comic-Con, when Kevin Feige finally decided to talk about Avengers 5 and 6, he ensured the anticipation for this specific announcement had reached the ceiling of the hall. He announced that both Avengers films, including Doomsday and Secret Wars, would have new directors and new logos. Read on to know everything you need about this and catch the visuals below too.

The Russo Brothers, Joe Russo, and Anthony Russo, have officially been announced as the directors of Avengers: Secret Wars and Avengers: Doomsday. The Russo Brothers have a history of shaping iconic Avengers movies, having worked on Infinity War and Endgame. As per the announcement, the films will be co-written by longtime collaborator Stephen McFeely, who will also be their partner in crime. There are no more updates on the two films, but the studio did introduce a new logo for Avengers: Secret Wars.

The initial logo of Avengers: Secret Wars was more formal and painted in shiny silver shades. But the new one signifies heat and drama with its fiery red-orange vibe while retaining almost the same font. This logo is more in sync with the latest ones compared to the last. Check it out below.

New Promised Faces In Avengers: Secret Wars

Avengers: Secret Wars is undoubtedly going to be a monster of a movie in terms of scale and sheer width of the idea. We have already heard that the whole of the MCU is set to walk into the movie. Recently, we even heard Chris Evans has been roped in to reprise Captain America in the movie, though there is no confirmation. However, there is confirmation of some other appearances. Kevin Feige at Comic-Con confirmed that team Thunderbolts and the Fantastic Four will both have their slots in Secret Wars. This means the movie just got bigger.

Directed by the Russo Brothers, Avengers: Secret Wars is set to release in May 2027, exactly a year after Avengers: Doomsday. Stay tuned to OTTplay for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
