Biju Menon, one of the bankable actors in Malayalam cinema, has joined hands with a newcomer director Amal Thamby for his next project. The upcoming film has been titled, Avarachan & Sons, and the shooting is expected to commence today, November 28.
The pooja ceremony of the film, which will be produced by Listin Stephen, was held on Wednesday (November 27). The lead cast and crew, including Biju Menon and the debutant director, were present for the ceremony.
Headlined by Biju Menon, the film boasts of stellar cast including Sreenath Bhasi, Grace Antony, Akhila Bhargavan, Vinay Forrt, and Ganapathy. Pauly Valsan and Parvathy Babu are also part of the cast.
Avarachan & Sons is the feature directorial debut of Amal Thamby, who had earlier directed the 2021 web series Insomnia Nights. Amal has also co-written the script with Joseph Vijeesh.
Sajith Purushan is the cinematographer, while Akash Joseph Varghese is the editor and Sanal Dev is the music director in this film. It is also the 35th film of Listin's Magic Frames banner. Biju Menon had earlier collaborated with Listin on Garudan, which also starred Suresh Gopi in a lead role. Garudan is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Biju Menon's last release was Kadha Innuvare. The drama film, which marked the debut of popular dancer Methil Devika, also featured Nikhila Vimal and Siddique in the lead roles.

The sequel of the film, directed by Jis Joy, has been announced with the lead actors expected to reprise their roles. Biju Menon also has a film with popular Tamil director AR Murugadoss. The film, headlined by Sivakarthikeyan, would mark Biju Menon’s return to Tamil cinema after more than a decade.
