Arun Vijay had a splendid start to the year with the box office hit Mission: Chapter 1. He is all set for his next project with Maan Karate director Krish Thirukumaran. The puja ceremony for the new film, which has tentatively been titled AV 36, was held earlier today in Chennai. And with this, the movie was officially launched by ace filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj.
AV 36 is touted to be a high-octane action thriller. The film will have not one but two leading ladies: Siddhi Idnani and Tanya Ravichandran. Not much has been revealed about the movie, but director Krish recently revealed that the film will be made on a grand scale. He also claimed that it would be a game-changer in Arun Vijay’s career. “Just like how Maan Karate opened doors for Sivakarthikeyan, this movie will pave a new path for Arun Vijay,” the director said.
Krish also revealed that it was director AR Murugadoss who had recommended Arun Vijay’s name to him during casting. Speaking about the actor's look in the film, Krish said, “He will be seen in new, stylish avatars. He is currently on a diet and is losing weight for this role.”
Interestingly, Arun Vijay will be seen in 5 different looks in the film. It sure looks like Krish is going all out for the movie and we cannot wait to see the transformation of the actor in the action flick.

At the puja ceremony, Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that Krish has wanted to make this movie for over 5 years. “When Krish invited me for the puja ceremony, I had asked him about the film’s story. When he told me, I realised that this was the same story that he had narrated to me 5 years ago. He has wanted to make this film for a long time now and I wish him and the team all the best,” the Leo director said.
