The month of August is upon us, which means more exciting titles are set to drop on OTT platforms across languages soon. The start of the month has only made fans elated as Alia Bhatt starrer Darlings is premiering on Netflix this Friday. Even The Sandman is streaming this week on Netflix alongside Wedding Season. The other exciting titles making their way to OTT are Crash Course on Amazon Prime Video, The Great Weddings of Munnes on VOOT Select, and others.

Moreover, several theatrical movies are also getting their OTT releases this week, including Kaduva on Amazon Prime Video, Lightyear on Disney+ Hotstar, Maha on aha Video, Pakka Commercial on aha Video and Netflix, etc.

Aavasavyuham - August 4 (SonyLIV)

Avasavyuham follows the events that are set off by the advent of a guy (Rahul Rajagopal) who is endowed with "special powers" and has no identification other than his name, Joy while painting an amusingly kaleidoscopic portrayal of society. The movie pokes fun at a variety of human follies using a heavily satirical, mockumentary style.

All or Nothing - August 4 (Amazon Prime Video)

The documentary will take fans behind the scenes at one of the largest football clubs in the world during a pivotal season as Arsenal concentrates on fighting for domestic glory and making a comeback to elite European competition. The All or Nothing cameras will follow Arsenal's team away from the pitch to examine the daily challenges faced by elite athletes throughout a demanding calendar of high-pressure competition, in addition to documenting the highs and lows of life at the Emirates Stadium and the Arsenal Training Centre.

Carter - August 5 (Netflix)

A man awakens without his memories. He embarks on a risky hostage rescue attempt under the guidance of a mysterious voice coming from a device in his ear. A memoryless guy has only one task to do. Watch this intense action spectacular for constant, live action.

Crash Course - August 5 (Amazon Prime Video)

The drama series Crash Course chronicles the lives of eight fresh students who enrol at the two largest, competitive coaching institutions in Kota. The competition between Ratanraj Jindal and Arvind Batra is not new. They are the proprietors of the best institutions, and they are driven to succeed one another to fully take over the Kota educational market. Their heated competition resembles a game of chess. The kids and teachers are the pawns in this game. The eight core students stand in for the 500,000 people who annually swarm Kota with their hopes and aspirations. In the first place, their college life is full of fun and companionship, but gradually the tensions and competition increase. The series chronicles the students' journey as they make friends, fall in love for the first time, suffer heartbreak, succumb to peer pressure, and lose their youthful innocence. Chaos results from the collision of the owners of coaching institutes with the students' two very different worlds. The stakes are higher, competing motives are present, and lives are in danger.

Darlings - August 5 (Netflix)

When it comes to Badru's husband Hamza, a strong-willed woman named Badru and her mother decide to take matters into their own hands. What comes next is a hilarious and dark comedy.

Habaddi - August 1 (Netflix)

A 10-year-old kid with a speech impairment sees the opportunity to meet the girl he cherishes when word spreads that his village's school Kabaddi team is travelling to Mumbai. He will chant "Kabaddi, Kabaddi," but how can he do it without stuttering?

Kaduva - August 4 (Amazon Prime Video)

The movie is set in the late 1990s and centres on the life of a young, wealthy Mundakayam rubber planter and his rivalry with a senior Kerala Police officer.

Lightyear - August 3 (Disney+ Hotstar)

Lightyear follows the renowned space ranger after he and his captain and crew are marooned on a dangerous planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth. Buzz Lightyear is the hero who served as the inspiration for the toy. A crew of eager recruits and Buzz's endearing robot cat companion, Sox, join him as he searches for a means to return home through space and time. The entrance of Zurg, a commanding presence with an army of merciless robots and a shadowy goal, complicates circumstances and endangers the mission.

Maha - August 5 (aha Video)

The love between a working single mother and her child is the main subject of the film starring Hansika Motwani in the lead role.

Memoria - August 5 (MUBI India)

Apichatpong Weerasethakul, the director whose film won the Palme d'Or, and Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton star in this perplexing drama about a Scottish woman who, after hearing a loud "bang" at dawn, starts experiencing a mysterious sensory syndrome while travelling through the Colombian jungles,

Odd Couple - August 5 (Shemaroo ME)

In this slice-of-life comedy, Yogesh and Nivedita, an elderly estranged couple, and Piyush, a young couple, make a series of comedic mistakes. Due to the women's similar first names, the marriage documents were incorrect, resulting in Piyush's legal marriage to an older Nivedita and the younger Nivedita's marriage to Yogesh, age 40. The humorous story then takes us on a journey of bonding, new attractions, heartbreak, and a renewed perspective on relationships over the obligatory six months before divorce that these mismatched couples must spend together.

Pakka Commercial - August 5 (Netflix, aha Video)

In a case concerning the individual because of whom the judge had to resign, a hotshot lawyer who is money-minded squares up against his father, a fine man and an ex-judge.

The Great Weddings of Munnes - August 4 (VOOT Select)

Abhishek Banerjee manages to make you laugh with his wit and humour as he attempts to find a wife. And to his astonishment, he meets the stunning Barkha Singh, and the plot develops with intriguing turns.

The Sandman - August 5 (Netflix)

When we close our eyes and go to sleep, a different world awaits us. This world is known as the Dreaming, and it is here that The Sandman, Master of Dreams, manifests all of our darkest fears and fancies. However, Dream's surprise capture and subsequent century-long imprisonment set off a chain of events that would forever alter both the dreaming and waking worlds. The dream must travel across various worlds and timelines in an attempt to correct the errors he's made over his lengthy existence. He will encounter new cosmic and human beings as well as old friends and enemies along the way.

Thirteen Lives - August 5 (Amazon Prime Video)

In the actual story of Thirteen Lives, a sudden monsoon confines twelve boys and the Thai soccer team's coach inside a mountain chamber, forcing them to explore the Tham Luang cave. They are trapped in a labyrinth of submerged cave passages and face overwhelming odds. World-class divers discover that finding the lads is just the beginning after navigating through kilometres of hazardous underground networks.

Vendetta - August 5 (Lionsgate Play)

William Duncan (Clive Standen), a family guy and former marine, is out in suburban Georgia with his 16-year-old daughter, Kat (Maddie Nichols), a softball player who aspires to play professionally. Kat is left in the car while William goes to get the food, and there, on behalf of their father, the drug lord Donnie, brothers Rory (Theo Rossi) and Danny (Cabot Basden) kill her (Bruce Willis). They are shortly detained by the police, but Donnie manipulates the proceedings so that Danny escapes punishment. The next night, William decides to track Danny down and kill him. Donnie and Rory are furious and decide to kill William as payback. William kills Rory and Donnie after they fail in their quest.

Victim: Who is Next? - August 5 (SonyLIV)

Victim is a Tamil anthology film that combines four short films by directors Chimbu Devan, M Rajesh, Pa.Ranjith, and Venkat Prabhu into one action thriller drama picture. Prasanna, Amala Paul, Priya Bavani Shankar, Nasser, Thambi Ramaiah, Natraj (Natty), Kalaiarasan, Guru Somasundaram, Krish, and others may be seen in the anthology film. Sam C. S., Premgi, Ganesh Sekar, and Tenma composed the soundtrack for the film, and R. Saravanan, Sakthi Saravanan, and Thamizh A. Azhagan handled the cinematography. Lawrence Kishore, Akash Thomas, Selva RK, and Venkat Raajen edited the film.

Wedding Season - August 4 (Netflix)

In order to survive a summer of weddings while under parental pressure to find partners, Asha (Pallavi Sharda) and Ravi (Suraj Sharma) pretend to date. However, as they battle to strike a balance between who they are and who their parents want them to be, they find themselves falling in love.
