Robert De Niro is an American actor who gained popularity with his role as baseball player in Bang The Drum Slowly (1973)

De Niro has over nine collaborations with filmmaker Martin Scorsece, and several accolades including two Academy Awards.He shot to prominence in 1973 in the Scorsese film Mean Streets. He gained further prominence for essaying a younger version of Marlon Brando’s character, Vito Corleone, in the 1974 Francis Ford Coppola film, The Godfather Part II.

De Niro established himself as one of the greatest actors of all time through his scintillating performances in films such as Raging Bull, Cape Fear, Goodfellas, and Taxi Driver. His latest film, the three hour long The Irishman, is a beautiful crime epic, for which he also served as producer.
