John Abraham’s next is the high-octane action film Attack, which is touted to be the first of its kind in Indian cinema. There had been rumours going about that he would also be seen in Prabhas’ upcoming film Salaar, helmed by K.G.F: Chapter 2 director Prashanth Neel. The Attack star recently set the record straight.
In conversation with India.com, the actor dispelled the rumours saying, “I will never do a regional film. I am a Hindi film hero.”
Abraham also said that he was also not interested in essaying the role of a second lead in any film ‘just to be there’. He added that he would not do a Telugu or regional film just so he could say that he was a part of regional cinema, like other actors did.
The actor added that he fully believed that Attack was a good film and was very confident about it as well.
During the interview, he also revealed that after he had finished the promotional activities for Attack, he would make his way to Spain, to work on filming for Pathaan and join his co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Directed by Siddharth Anand, Pathan is scheduled for release on January 25, 2023.
Coming back to Attack, the film, directed by Lakshya Raj Anand, also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles, along with Prakash Raj, Ratna Pathak Shah and Elham Ehsaas. It was produced under the banners of JA Entertainment, Pen Studios and Kyta Productions.
Attack will be released in theatres tomorrow, on April 1.
