John Abraham’s latest release was Attack, a film which the star has promised explores something that Indian cinema has never witnessed before. And it seems that the star is not one for catching a breather, as he still has quite a few projects in the works. He recently opened up about an upcoming project where he will reunite with Akshay Kumar.
In conversation with Pinkvilla, Abraham talked about the film in question, which was helmed by Abhishek Sharma, who had directed him in Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran(2018). The star said the film was a challenging one to make dealing with a story guaranteed to ‘shock’ audiences. Called Parlok, the project was five years in the making, he added.
The upcoming project will mark Abraham’s latest collaboration with Kumar, having worked with him on films such as Desi Boyz(2011), Housefull 2(2012) and Garam Masala(2005). Talking about how much he ‘loved’ Kumar, Abraham said that their onscreen chemistry was ‘seamless’ and they looked really good on screen together because they had such a close bond outside of work.
So unsurprisingly, Abraham said he would ‘love’ for another chance to work with Kumar, no matter the film. “I need an excuse to work with Akshay Kumar. But I think he's very busy. He's doing probably 144 films now? But I'm going to pull him out and work with him soon,” he added.
Abraham’s film, Attack, was released in theatres on April 1. The star is currently awaiting the release of his films such as Ek Villain Returns and Pathaan.
