John Abraham’s latest action endeavor Attack hit theatres after a number of promotional campaigns. The movie, though did not perform well at the box office, has received praises for the performances, action and VFX. The director, Lakshya has now talked about the biggest compliment he ever received for the film.

In a statement, he shared that he received many kind compliments for the movie. “The best compliment was from Amanpreet, who is Rakul's brother who actually had no words but his face said it all at the screening of how much he enjoyed the movie and came out with his hands making two guns and just going dhak dhak dhak everywhere,” (sic) said Lakysha.

“And then that night a day before the release my parents came to my room and said you’ve made a good film and don’t worry about the result we are all very proud of you,” (sic) he added.

The action flick hit theatres on April 1, and received mixed reviews from critics.

“Attack is most definitely a film that should turn into a franchise. Part 1 of this movie is a thorough entertainer for people who enjoy action to the T. John shines out in the movie and it could be considered his redemption for giving us something like Satyameva Jayate 2. The film is a surprisingly cool and edge-of-the-seat thriller,” reads the movie’s review on OTTplay

Apart from John Abraham in the lead, the movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh, with Prakash Raj and Ratna Pathak Shah in supporting roles. Attack is set to make its digital premiere on ZEE5 on May 27.
