Atlee made his huge Bollywood debut with the box office blockbuster Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan. Now, he is set for another big project and if reports are to be believed, the filmmaker is set to join hands with another Khan from Bollywood. As per the recent buzz, he is next set to collaborate with none other than Salman Khan for his upcoming movie.
Atlee to collaborate with Salman Khan for his next film
As per a report by Telugu 360, Atlee's film with Allu Arjun has been shelved. There were reports a few months back that the director was set to team up with Salman Khan but now these rumours seem to have been confirmed. The film is said to be bankrolled by Tamil’s leading production Sun Pictures.
What happened between Atlee and Allu Arjun?
According to the reports by PeepingMoon, Atlee was supposed to join hands with Allu Arjun for a pan-India project, however, that was a very primary stage and nothing was officially signed. "Atlee is still working on the script and hasn't locked anyone yet. It would have been great to see both of them teaming up on a massive project, but, as of now, Allu Arjun and Atlee’s film is not happening,” a source close to the filmmaker told the portal.
The report further revealed, "Atlee has now approached Salman Khan for this film, but the discussions with him are also at the very initial stage at this moment."
Now it seems like a blockbuster with Atlee and Salman Khan is in the works. No official announcement of the same has been made yet.
Salman Khan's projects
Salman Khan is presently preparing for his upcoming film titled Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film will see the first on-screen collaboration between Salman and Rashmika Mandanna. It is expected to be released on Eid 2025.
