YG Bharath directs the web series for which Praveen Sattaru is the show runner

Venu Thottempudi made a mark as an actor in varied roles upon his entry into cinema with quality films like Swayamvaram, Chirunavvutho, Hanuman Junction, Pellam Oorelithe, Sada Mee Sevalo, to name a few. He went onto star in a few supporting roles as well in films like Chintakayala Ravi and Dhammu, after which he took a sabbatical from cinema to focus on his business ventures.
Last year, he returned to the entertainment industry with a key role in Ravi Teja’s action entertainer Ramarao On Duty, now streaming on Sony LIV. He has accepted a series of acting offers recently as well. Now, he’s all set to make his OTT debut with a thriller show titled Athidhi. The web series is directed by YG Bharath while Gandeevadhari Arjuna maker Praveen Sattaru is the show runner.

Athidhi, marking Venu’s digital debut, will premiere on the leading streamer Disney+ Hotstar. The OTT platform has confirmed that Athidhi will arrive on the platform on September 19, i.e. Tuesday. The teaser of the show, unveiled a few days ago that hints of some tension between Venu and a new female guest. The show promises to be an unusual mix of thrills, horror and emotions.
The show has two female leads - Avantika Mishra and Aditi Gautam. Avantika, who debuted with Neelakantha’s Maaya, went onto act in Meeku Meere Maaku Meme and Vyshakham. Aditi Gautam, last seen in Gopichand’s Pakka Commercial, is best known for Ravi Teja’s Neninthe. Venkatesh Kakumanu, Ravi Varma, Bhadram, Chanakya Tejas, Gayatri Chaganti, Pooja Reddy Bora form the supporting cast.
Manojh Reddy has cranked the camera for the same and Dharmendra Kakarala is the editor. The crew also comprises art director Sahi Suresh, stylist Priyanka Arik Doraswamy, executive producer Dasari Rajesh, choreographer Pramesh Dev, Kapi Kumar and Rajeev Ram, to name a few. Venu is also part of a film produced by Chai Bisket Films, the makers of Boys Hostel and Writer Padmabhushan.
