The action entertainer helmed by Sam Anton, has got the U/A certificate

Atharvaa Murali and Tanya Ravichandran's upcoming film Trigger is all set to hit screens on September 23. The film, directed by Sam Anton, is said to be packed with action and has been recently cleared by the Censor Board with the U/A certificate. Taking to his social media handle, Atharvaa made the announcement, "#Trigger - Triggered U/A Excited to see you at the Big screens 馃挜 Theatrical Release on 23- Sep- 2022 @pramodfilmsnew @miraclemoviesin @DesiboboPrateek @ShrutiNallappa @ANTONfilmmaker @actortanya @mynameisraahul @GhibranOfficial (sic)."
Earlier Udhayanidhi Stalin had revealed that the film will be hitting screens in September with a post on his social media handle. The announcement of the release date has now confirmed the plan indeed. The Tamil Nadu release will be handled by Romeo Pictures.
Atharvaa and Sam Anton had earlier worked together in the thriller 100, which hit screens in 2019. Though the film is said to be action packed, it will also revolve around the relationship between a father and son, played by Arun Pandiyan and Atharvaa respectively. The supporting star cast also includes Chinni Jayanth, Seetha, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Munishkanth, Krishna Kumar, Aranthangi Nisha, and Anbudasan to name a few.
Going by the film's teaser, which was released recently, the plot is said to revolve around a bunch of children kidnapped by unidentified men and how Atharvaa rescues them. Music for Trigger is by Ghibran. Cinematography is by Krishnan Vasant and editing is handled by Ruben. Dialogues are penned by PS Mithran and the stunt sequences are choreographed by Dilip Subbarayan. The film has been bankrolled by Prateek Chakravorty and Shruti Nallappa under the banner of Pramod Films
