Athadu Aame Priyudu release date: When and where to watch Yandamoori Veerendranath's Telugu film with Sunil, Kaushal

Eminent writer, director Yandamoori Veerendranath is wielding the megaphone again after a brief sabbatical from films. His next, Athadu Aame Priyudu, named after his popular novel, stars Sunil, Kaushal, Benarjee in the lead and is jointly produced by Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana and Ravi Kanagala under Sandhya Motion Pictures. Kunam Krishna Kumari is the presenter of the project. The dark comedy is all set to hit theatres today i.e. February 4.

"This is not a normal film and is full of dark humour. The dialogues may appear funny at the outset but they reflect the trauma, agony of modern-day relationships. It is about three contrasting people who meet on a stormy night and share different perspectives on love. While one firmly believes in the power of true love, one of them has a very casual approach to relationships whereas the third person has a rather pessimistic take on romance," Yandamoori shares.

"Though I've directed Stuartpuram Police Station and other films in the past, they were made for the masses and adhered to a particular formula. The OTT wave during the pandemic has helped storytellers like me come up with films based on interesting concepts and incidents - it has made films like Raincoat (Aishwarya Rai-Ajay Devgn) more accessible to the public that's craving for more realism. I hope my followers watch Athadu Aame Priyudu at the theatres," he adds.

Athadu Aame Priyudu is cinematographed and edited by Meer. The film's story, screenplay and dialogues are by Yandamoori Veerendranath himself. "Yandamoori has been a sensational writer and we are confident that he'll prove his mettle as a director too with this film," the producers are hopeful.
