Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar was generous with his praise for his co-star Prithviraj Sukumaran at the recently held trailer launch event for their upcoming movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan . The action drama, which also stars Tiger Shroff, features Prithviraj as the main antagonist.
While talking about his working experience with Prithviraj, Akshay brought up the latter's upcoming Malayalam movie The Goat Life, also known as Aadujeevitham. Akshay revealed that he was blown away by the film's trailer and has requested to see the film.
"This man has worked on this film for 3 years?" said Akshay. However, Prithviraj immediately corrected him, saying, "No, 16 years." On hearing this, Akshay expressed genuine shock and awe and, in a lighter vein, asked Prithviraj, "Son, what were you doing on this for 16 years? Unbelievable. Hats off to you," Akshay said.
Aadujeevitham is written and directed by Blessy. Prithviraj remained attached to the project since 2008. The film faced a lot of delays owing to budget constraints, and it took Blessy and Prithviraj about 16 years to turn Aadujeevitham into a reality.
"If you (the media) have not seen the trailer, we can show it here. I don't mind," offered Akshay.
While Prithviraj appreciated Akshay's generosity and support, he kindly declined to take up the offer. "This is the first film (Bade Miyan Chote Miyan) where he (Prithviraj) has more dialogue than us. But, it has been so much fun working with him. I have learned a lot about acting from him," Akshay's words left Prithviraj visibly shy.
"Prithviraj, take a compliment. I have done more films, but you are a much better actor," Akshay said with heartfelt sincerity.
Prithviraj's The Goat Life will hit the screens worldwide on March 28. Judging from the advance booking trends, the film is set to have a huge opening.
