Director Jude Anthany Joseph is all set to begin the second schedule of his big budget movie, which is based on the 2018 Kerala floods. The multi-starrer, which has Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Aparna Balamurali in the lead, will kick off its second schedule at Kollam on August 15.

Actors Asif Ali, Narain and Lal will reportedly join the week-long schedule in Thangassery in Kollam, where the team is expected to wrap up portions featuring the fishermen, who had turned heroes during the Kerala floods with their rescue acts. Once the team completes shooting in Kollam, they will move back to Ernakulam for the next schedule.

The film went on floors in May, with Kunchacko Boban shooting his portions as a land revenue department officer. The next schedule will also have Tovino and Vineeth joining.

Incidentally, Jude had first started shooting a project based on the floods with the name 2403ft ahead of the pandemic. The team had even shot a few portions for the film, which had Tovino playing an army officer and Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran attached to essay pivotal roles in it. However, the pandemic had put the plans on hold and the team had revisited the script. The current project, which is expected to hit theatres in the first quarter of 2023, is yet to be titled.

Meanwhile, Tanvi Ram and Aparna Balamurali are also part of the movie, which is bankrolled by Anto Joseph Film Company and Kavya Films. The film, which marks Jude’s fourth directorial after Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, Oru Muthassi Gadha and Sara’s, is also the biggest in his career. It’s co-scripted by Jude and John Manthrickal with Shaan Rahman attached as its composer. Akhil George, who had cranked the camera for Kala and The Priest, is the film’s cinematographer.
