Ashok Selvan, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj to team up for a project under Pa Ranjith's production

Director Pa Ranjith's production house Neelam Productions has made a few notable movies in the past. The filmmaker is now set to make a new project under his banner. The untitled film will have debutant Jaikumar (a former assistant to Ranjith) at its helm. Shanthnu and Ashok Selvan play lead roles in the movie which has Yogi Babu, Divya Duraisamy and Prithvi Pandiarajan essaying key roles.

Keerthi Pandian will be seen as the female lead in the project which has cinematography by Thamizh A Azhagan and music direction by Govind Vasantha. The makers released a few pictures from the movie's launch which featured the actors.

Going by the pictures, it looks like Ashok and Shanthnu have lost a few kilos to play their respective roles in the movie which is based on cricket, friendship and racial discrimination. Tamizh Prabha and Jaikumar have jointly penned the movie's screenplay and dialogues.

Selva RK has been roped in to handle editing for the movie which has production design by Raghu. We hear that the shooting of the project will happen in and around Arakkonam. This is the first time Ashok Selvan and Shanthnu are teaming up with Pa Ranjith.

Meanwhile, Ranjith is awaiting the release of his next directorial project, Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, which has been slated for a release on August 31. He is also set to begin his untitled Vikram-starrer from September. The period movie will have Kolar Gold Fields as its backdrop.

Ashok Selvan, who has had four releases this year, is now waiting for Nitham Oru Vaanam, while Shanthnu has Ravana Koottam in his kitty.
