Ashneer Grover knew Vineeta Singh before Shark Tank India, calls her ‘tope ladki’

Ashneer Grover might not be a part of Shark Tank India season 2 but he sure has some opinions to share about the sharks he has worked with. When it came to Vineeta Singh, Ashneer remembered how she was the ‘tope ladki’ in IIM. He remembered talking to her through the eyes.

Ashneer spoke about Vineeta at Lovely Professional University. He revealed that Vineeta is actually his junior and the hottest from the batch.

“Vineeta was my junior in IIM Ahmedabad,” he remembered, adding, “Aankhon aankhon mein baat hui thi but kabhi actually baat nahi hui thi.”

As the crowd went beserk, Ashneer added, “Vineeta mere junior batch ki bahut tope ladki thi bhai.” Currently, Vineeta is known for her brand, Sugar Cosmetics.

Knowing that Vineeta was doing well in life, Ashneer started having respect for another entrepreneur. The two now have mutual respect for one another.

Apart from Ashneer and Vineeta, Shark Tank India season 1’s sharks included Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Ghazal Alagh and Peyush Bansal. Out of them, Ashneer only knew Vineeta closely and had briefly interacted with Anupam.

During the same speech, Ashneer had revealed that the sharks were not paid a penny for Shark Tank India season 1. He also revealed that there were issues for something as basic as the venue of the show.

Ashneer is the former co-founder of BharatPe. He resigned earlier in the year and is now awaiting the release of his memoir, titled Doglapan: The Hard Truth about Life and Start-Ups. The book is expected to be available by December 26.
