Kangana Ranaut frequently commented on Bollywood and its "fake" friendships and was unafraid to criticize those who upset her. Now, Asha Parekh, a seasoned actor, recently refuted Ranaut's assertion that there are no real friendships in show business.
During a recent interview, Asha Parekh talked openly about Bollywood, her experience in the business, and many other topics. The actor was questioned about Kangana Ranaut's remarks that genuine friendships are lacking in Bollywood during her interview with News18. Asha disputed the claim and revealed how she still maintains close relationships with Waheeda Rahman and Helen, two of her contemporaries.
“Have you seen how close me Waheeda ji and Helen ji are? We have a strong friendship,” the icon said. When she was asked if such strong friendships still exist in Bollywood today, she said, "Ab woh Kangana ji se puchiye na, ki kyu nahi hai (Please ask Kangana why it doesn't exist anymore)" as the audience applauded. The veteran actress added, “Aapne aisa kyu nahi pucha, ki aap aise kyu bol rahe hai? Aapne kisi se dosti ki hai ya nahi (Why didn’t you ask her why she said that? Has she tried to be friends with someone or not)?”
When she was then told by the host that Kangana perhaps spoke from her experience, Asha Parekh said, “It is a personal choice of everyone, whether they want to be friends with someone or not. So, you must ask her ki woh kyu nahi dosti karti? Mere saath toh bohot achchi hai woh.”
The relationship between Kangana Ranaut and B-town celebrities is well known. The actress claimed in an interview with Curly Tales that she could meet people from Bollywood outside but could not invite them into her home since they did not match the requirements to be her friends.
