As Sikandar releases, from Kick 2 to film with Sanjay Dutt, 4 projects that Salman Khan has confirmed working on next

If there is one name that has dominated the headlines in the past week, it has to be Salman Khan, thanks to his latest release, Sikandar. While the film, set for an Eid 2025 release, was already one of the most anticipated movies across the country, Salman Khan added to the frenzy when he randomly went on a spree, confirming all the movies he is working on next, one after another, while being very candid about them.

Be it the film with Atlee being pushed or his collaboration with Sanjay Dutt, Salman has confirmed it all. Keeping track of it all isn’t an easy job, but we’re here to make your life simple! Below is a list of four movies that Salman Khan is working on next. The actor has also spoken about Andaz Apna Apna 2 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, but those aren’t confirmed projects—he has only expressed hope that they will happen someday.

1. Kick 2

The highest probability of happening first is Kick 2, considering the makers have already confirmed it. The film is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, who is also producing Sikandar. Sikandar marks the reunion of Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan after a decade, even if it is in the capacity of producer-actor. It seems Nadiadwala is in no mood to let Salman leave his camp so soon, as he has now announced Kick 2. Nadiadwala and Grandson took to social media, sharing a stunning picture of Salman Khan and announcing Kick 2, with the caption: "It was a great Kick 2 photo shoot, Sikandar...! From Grand, Sajid Nadiadwala."

2. Film with Sanjay Dutt

Okay, Salman Khan reuniting with his Saajan co-star Sanjay Dutt has been the talk of the town for the past week. At a press conference held to promote Sikandar, Salman ended up revealing that he is working on a big action film with Sanjay Dutt. "I'm doing another big action film after Sikandar. The action in this one is on another level—it's rustic action." When asked if this was the movie with Sanjay Dutt, Salman confirmed: "I'm doing it with my elder brother in the industry... Sanjay Dutt." The film is yet to get a producer and a director.

3. Film with Sooraj Barjatya

The return of Prem to the Sooraj Barjatya universe was one of the biggest highlights of 2024. What started as a rumor soon became concrete, and fans have been eagerly waiting for the reunion. Salman Khan confirmed at the conference that he will star in a Sooraj Barjatya directorial: "That is happening after he wraps up what he is doing now." Currently, Sooraj Barjatya is busy working on the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer and will begin Salman Khan’s movie later.

4. Film with Atlee

And of course, the most headline-making project—the Salman Khan x Atlee collaboration! The rumors about this project have been at their peak for a long time. Naturally, when Salman was confirming so many things at the press conference, he had to address this one too. He confirmed that the movie isn’t shelved but rather put on hold: "Atlee has written a very big-budget action film. The film is delayed because of budget issues. I don't know who from the two (Rajinikanth sir or Kamal Haasan sir) will be in it."
