As Salaar gets postponed: Here's a list of Telugu films that will release on September 28, 2023

Salaar is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema as Prabhas has teamed up with KGF sensation, Prashanth Neel for the first time in his career. The action drama was all set to release on September 28, 2023, in a big way but got postponed owing to a delay in the post-production. As this biggie has moved out of the release race, let us look at films that grabbed this key date.

Skanda

Ram Pothineni has teamed up with Boyapati Sreenu for the first time in his career with Skanda. The action drama was supposed to be released on September 15, 2023. But the moment news came out that Salaar had been postponed, Skanda was the first film to lock the date of September 28, 2023 release. Sreeleela plays the female lead in this film which has music by Thaman.

Chandeamukhi 2

Chandramukhi 2 marks the comeback of P Vasu after a long gap and he is ready with the second part of his iconic film Chandramukhi. Featuring Kangana Ranaut and Raghava Lawrence as the main leads, Chandramukhi 2 was also slated to release on September 15, 2023. Things were planned and an event was also set to take off in Hyderabad. But it was called off last minute as the makers decided to release the film on Salaar's original release date, September 28, 2023.

Rules Ranjann

Kiran Abbavaram's latest film, Rules Ranjann was in the news for the super hit songs featuring Neha Sshetty. The comedy caper was all set to release on September 15 and promotions were also done accordingly. But as Salaar got postponed, producer AM Rathnam was quick to grab the spot and locked 28th September 2023 as the release date of Rules Ranjann.

MAD

MAD is Jr NTR's brother-in-law, Narne Nithin's film which is a college comedy. The film has been in the making for the longest time. The makers were not deterred by Salaar and had fixed the release date of September 28, 2023, taking on Prabhas. Even though multiple films have eyed this date of September 15, 2023, the makers have not gone back and are releasing this film on the said date.

Peda Kapu 1

Director Srikanth Addala, who is known to make family dramas is ready with his new film Peda Kapu, a hard-hitting village drama. The film is being released in two parts and did not announce its release date. But as Salaar got postponed, the makers grabbed this opportunity and announced that Peda Kapu 1 would be released on September 29, 2023, a day after all the other biggies release on September 28.

September 15, 2023 releases

Some big films were set to release on September 15, 2023. But as they got postponed to the 28th of the same month, taking advantage of Salaar's postponement, the release list became empty on the 15th of September. Only a dub Tamil film, Mark Anthony will be coming out on this date. Vijay Anthony plays the main lead in this film.
