As Kushi nears its OTT release, Vijay Deverakonda fulfills his major promise, deets inside

Kushi featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu had to click at any cost as both the stars gave big flops with their previous films. Well, Kushi, which was in the making for over two years, finally hit the screens on September 1, 2023. 

The film's music was a rage and gave Kushi a solid start at the box office. It made Rs 70 crores gross in just three days but from there on it fell flat at the box office. But still, the makers recovered most of the money by then. 

Well, as the film made good money in its first week,  Vijay revealed that he will select 100 families in Telugu states and will donate one lakh each to them in the next few days. Vijay added that he will create an online form and people in need can apply through the form and the team will select those who are in need of money and donate the money to them.

Just a few days after this, Vijay released a form, and thousands of needy people applied. Now, as per the news, Vijay has selected 100 families for the donation. Not only are the winning families from Telugu states, but also from Bangalore, Chennai, and other cities. 

This is the first time in India that an actor has shared his earnings with the families who have given him so much love. Coming to the OTT rights of the film, Netflix has bought the digital rights of the film for a fancy price. As per the news, the romantic drama will be out in the last week of September 2023 or in the first week of October. 

Shiva Nirvana has directed this film which has been produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Hesham Abdul Wahab's smash hit music is one of the major reasons for the film's major success. Vijay is now shooting for his new film in the direction of Gautam Tinnanuri.
