The much-awaited trailer of Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Ki Kisi Jaan is crushing the internet and it looks like fans can't get enough of Bhai Salman. The film, directed by Farhad Samji, has Pooja Hegde playing the leading lady. Even as the dashing look of Salman with long locks and the action-packed sequences have many swooning over the star, some have also resorted to comparing the film with Ajith's Veeram.
To those not in the loop, Kisi Ka Bhai Ki Kisi Jaan is a remake of the 2014 Tamil hit, Veeram, which starred Ajith in the lead. The film, directed by Siva, had Ajith playing a good-at-heart person called Vinayagam, who would go great lengths to protect his four brothers. The film had Tamanaah playing the leading lady and had an ensemble supporting cast which included Vidarth, Bala, Santhanam, Nassar, Pradeep Rawat, Atul Kulkarni to name a few. Veeram emerged as a blockbuster at the box office and later remade into Telugu as Katamarayudu and in Kannada as Odeya.
Some social media users, who compared the two films, have called Salman's film an outdated remake. Ajith fans have added that no one can match the swag of their matinee idol. Check out a few sample tweets here.
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has an ensemble cast which includes Venkatesh, Jagapathy Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Jassie Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Bhagyashree, Shehnaaz Gill, Abhimanyu Singh, Vijender Singh, Sooraj Pancholi to name a few. The film has score by Ravi Basrur, and songs by Himesh Reshammiya, Sajid Khan, Sukhbir, Payal Dev, Devi Sri Prasad, Ravo Basrur and Armaan Mallik.
Meanwhile, the song Yentamma featuring Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati and RRR star Ram Charan in a special appearance, has already not gone down well with many. Former cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan had slammed the team for portraying veshti (dhoti) in a derogatory manner in the song. He had written on his social media handle, "This is highly ridiculous and degrading our South Indian culture. This is not a LUNGI , THIS IS A DHOTI. A classical outfit which is being shown in a DISGUSTING MANNER (sic)."
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is all set to hit screens for Eid on April 21 across theatres worldwide.
