As CID Moosa turns 20, Dileep confirms the sequel to Malayalam cinema's iconic comedy movie

CID Moosa is one of the landmark films in the Malayalam cinema. Starring Dileep in the lead, the movie was helmed by Johny Antony, from a script written by Udaykrishna–Sibi K and Thomas. The film earlier this week completed 20 years. And Dileep, who was also the film's producer, sprung a surprise by announcing that the sequel to the movie is in the works. "Moosa is Returning Soon, 20 years of CID Moosa #CIDMoosa," he captioned the trailer he shared on his Instagram page to commemorate the film's 20th anniversary. 

CID Moosa was released in cinemas on July 4, 2003, and instantly became a hit at the box office. It is a delightful comedy that offers an entertaining and humorous experience from start to finish. The movie revolves around Moosa, a bumbling but well-meaning private detective played by Dileep. With his quirky team of misfits, Moosa sets out on a mission to thwart an assassination attempt against Kerala's chief minister.

The film boasts a fantastic ensemble cast, including Bhavana, Jagathy Sreekumar, and Ashish Vidyarthi, who deliver stellar performances and add depth to their respective characters.
