Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is ready to enter the world of showbiz but with a twist. The star kid won't be making his acting debut with any project. Instead, Aryan decided to don the director's hat for his showbiz career. The 26-year-old will be making his directorial debut with a six-episode web series, Stardom, which boasts cameo appearances by SRK, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. While the show went on floors in June 2023, Aryan is currently busy shooting the last schedule of Stardom. The latest update is that the OTT show will be released by the year-end.
According to Mid-Day, Aryan Khan was busy shooting Stardom throughout April while the locations changed from Andheri East Studio to Madh Island. Now, the star kid is working on Stardom at Royal Palms in Goregaon.
"The shoot will go on at the Goregaon venue till the end of the week before moving to another location. Simultaneously, Aryan has been overseeing the editing. Though there is no rush on the show’s delivery, the team is keen to release it by the year-end," a source told the tabloid.
While the series has been helmed by the star kid, Stardom will feature Lakshya in the lead role. Apart from the actor, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and SRK are expected to make special appearances in the web show. It will also feature Bobby Deol and Mona Singh. Stardom is being backed by Aryan's dad and superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Earlier, Bollywoodlife reported that this series follows the story of a young man from Delhi, who has big career aspirations in Bollywood. Stardom will highlight the challenges and triumphs that a young man faces while on his journey to attaining stardom.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki with Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani. The film hit the big screen in December 2023. SRK is yet to make an official announcement about his next project.
