Yami Gautam's Article 370 is expected to mint Rs. 20 crores nett over the weekend

Yami Gautam’s Article 370 is among the best performing movies at the Box Office currently. Even though the growth is minimal, it has shown better growth than most other releases. The film, produced by Aditya Dhar, has minted close to Rs. 15 crores nett on day 2. It is expected to show further growth, for the movie is a trend on social media, much like other hit films at the Box Office.
Article 370’s Saturday Box Office
Article 370 had earned Rs. 5.9 crores nett on first day Friday. The movie, as per Box Office India, has earned Rs. 7.5 crores nett on its second day. This takes the total collections of the movie to Rs. 13.4 crores nett. The film saw nearly 40% growth at the Box Office in two days and the percentage is expected to go further up on Sunday. By the end of the weekend, Article 370 could earn Rs. 20 crores nett or beyond. As always, the Monday collections will decide the real fate of the film but it is expected to be a hit, if not a superhit or blockbuster.

The story of Article 370
Article 370, much like the title suggests, is about the real-life incident, of the removal of Article 370 from the Indian Constitution. It addresses the terrorism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir, and how the radicals control the area. Yami plays the lead intelligence officer tasked with a mission to be carried out in Kashmir. With that, the government will be able to eliminate Article 370. The film takes you through her part in the removal of Article 370.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 is produced by Aditya Dhar (URI director, also Yami’s husband), Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The film, also starring Priyamani, Arun Govil (as PM) and Kiran Karmarkar, released in theatres on February 23. The movie is in news for Yami’s portrayal and people have also noticed and loved how Ramayana’s Ram Arun Govil has transformed into PM Modi. The Indian PM had also praised the film, saying people will get the proper information on Article 370 after its release.
