Arshad Warsi is a powerhouse performer, who keeps the audience hooked to screens with his iconic comic timing and incredible acting skills. The actor has forayed into multiple genres - from comedy to suspense thrillers and has played iconic characters on screen including Circuit from Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Jolly from Jolly LLB, which are still remembered by the audience till date. The actor was last seen playing the role of a cop in web series Asur 2 and was widely appreciated for his performance.

Despite doing these stellar performances, the actor revealed to Indian Express that there have been instances where he has been removed from a project at the last minute. Speaking about how it makes him feel, the actor said, “I have accepted it, but it’s not made me bitter because I always look at that brighter side of things. I always feel it is better this way.”

Continuing the conversation further, Arshad said a similar instance happened to him recently. Without mentioning the film’s name, the actor said that the project had a lot of hierarchy, and he regretted the decision to take it. However, after he was replaced without his knowledge, he thanked God for saving him from something worse that was going to happen.

“I need to be happy where I am working, there should be a good vibe where you’re working. There should be people laughing, people not abusing anybody or hating anybody. I don’t like negativity. This place, I was told that there is a lot of hierarchy, ‘I am big, you’re small’ sort of thing go on, so when I took it I kept feeling ‘galti kar do yeh picture ke li (I did a mistake taking this up)’. However, I was committed, and I’ll just do my job. And then, I was replaced without my knowledge. A part of me said that this is what God wanted, ‘thank you, you just saved me’. I was saved from something worse that was going to happen, maybe I would end up having a fight with the makers. I feel I have been saved from a bigger catastrophe,” the actor said.

“But yes, this happens, it’s been happening to me forever. I have accepted it and moved on. I don’t mind it because it is not just in our industry, it is how the world works — a doctor’s kid will be a doctor. As long as I still have work, I am busy doing films, it’s perfectly fine,” Arshad further added.

Arshad was last seen in Oni Sen-directed thriller web series Asur 2, which is streaming on Jio Cinema. The series features an ensemble cast-including Barun Sobti, Ridhi Dogra and Abhishek Chauhan.
