Arjun Kapoor injured on Mere Husband Ki Biwi set

Arjun Kapoor was recently seen in a villain role in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Now, he is busy shooting for Mere Husband Ki Biwi co-starring Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Bhagnani. The film has gone on the floors and the filming is going on in full swing in Mumbai. However, the latest report suggests that Arjun along with the crew Mere Husband Ki Biwi suffered injuries after a ceiling collapsed on the film set.
According to reports, the cast and crew of Mere Husband Ki Biwi met with an accident on the sets while shooting for a song at the Imperial Palace, Royal Palms in Mumbai. The roof collapsed, injuring Arjun, producer Jackie Bhagnani, and director Mudassir Aziz. Fortunately, none of the actors or crew members were seriously injured. Arjun, Jackie, and Mudassar suffered minor injuries. Speaking about the cause of the incident, vibrations from the sound of the old hall shook the set leaving the ceiling to collapse.

Ashok Dubey from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) told ETimes that Arjun Kapoor injured his elbow and head. DOP Manu Anand fractured his thumb and the camera attendant suffered a spinal injury but no one was deeply hurt.
Choreographer Vijay Ganguly told ETimes that they were on the monitor when suddenly the ceiling collapsed. Luckily, it fell in parts, and they had a trough to protect us.
"Had the entire ceiling fallen on us, it could have been disastrous, but many people still got hurt. These old locations are often used for shoots, and as production companies, we are sure that the safety measures are checked. However, many times, the safety of the location isn’t properly verified before it’s offered for shooting," he added.
Meanwhile, backed by Pooja Entertainment, Mere Husband Ki Biwi is an upcoming romantic comedy film that is slated to premiere on February 21 in theatres.
