Arjun Kapoor spoke out about how stars do nothing when movies are social media blacklisted. He stated that the industry must unite to stop this trend and that those supporting boycott efforts are to blame for the industry's decline.

Numerous movies have recently faced criticism on social media. The latest movies to fall victim to the boycott trend on Twitter include Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan, Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, Hrithik Roshan's Vikram Vedha, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, and Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

During an interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Kapoor said that he thought they made a mistake by remaining mute about it. That was their decency, but people have begun exploiting that. They erred by assuming that their work would speak for itself, in his opinion. One knows they don't have to get their hands dirty all the time, but he guesses they accepted it so much that now it's become ingrained in people. Because of what people say about them or the popular hashtags, which is far from reality, they must band together and take action. People like them more when they produce successful box office hits because of the movie, not because of their last names.

He added that this has started happening a lot now and it's unjust.

Kapoor continued, saying that the excitement for a new movie, the excitement in individuals, and the gloss of the industry are all diminishing on Friday mornings. For years, people have been throwing mud at them, and even a brand-new car will eventually get dirty and lose its lustre. This problem has been with the industry for a while. After the movie is released, they believe that people's perspectives will change.

In Ek Villain Returns, Arjun was last seen. Tara Sutaria, Disha Patani, and John Abraham also starred in the movie. His upcoming films include The Ladykiller and Kuttey. Konkona Sensharma, Radhika Madaan, Naseeruddin Shah, and Tabu are the stars of Kuttey. Alongside Arjun, Bhumi Pednekar appears in The Ladykiller.
