It is truly magical to see how movies across India have performed exceedingly well at theatres across India. From Zara Hatke Zara Bachke to Gadar 2, i.e., from the beginning of July to the second week of August, not even a single weekend has passed by when movies were not declared a hit at the box office.
Penning down this fact into an emotion, popular Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor hailed those present in the Indian film industry for their continuous efforts to bring back the industry to life, especially after the turbulence caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
In a note, Arjun Kapoor spoke from the bottom of his heart and said, "Without going into the details of it all, just feel damn happy seeing packed theatres and genuine love for all sorts of cinema over the last couple of months. From Zara Hatke and SatyaPrem in June to MI-7, Barbie, Oppenheimer, Rocky Rani, OMG 2, Gadar 2, and Jailer now... As long as the audience is stepping out, taking a chance, making an effort, and connecting all sorts of films and ideas, stories will continue to be told for the big screen, which is where community viewing really swings the way you feel about a film as well. The emotion created through a gasp, a cheer, thunderous clapping, or even a gigantic laugh makes it an experience that you look forward to having."
"May the roller coaster of emotions continue through time like it always has. The break was good. We all needed it, perhaps, but now it seems like theatres are a happy place again!" wrote Arjun Kapoor.
Earlier in the day, the Producers Guild of India and Multiplex Association of India announced that August 11–13 were their busiest single weekends post-re-opening as theatres across India minted over Rs 390 crore.
