The makers of Arjun Ashokan’s upcoming comedy entertainer, Theeppori Benny, took to social media to announce its release date recently. The film will hit theatres on September 22.

Theeppori Benny is helmed by Raajesh Mohan and Joji Thomas, who had earlier worked in Biju Menon's Vellimoonga as associate director and scriptwriter, respectively. Similar to Vellimoonga, Theeppori Benny has also political elements and reportedly revolves around a father and his apolitical son.

Arjun essays the titular character of Benny, the son of a political leader who has an aversion to politics. The posters of the film, which were released online, also hinted at a story set in a rural backdrop
