The trailer of Aranmanai 4, the upcoming Tamil film directed by filmmaker Sundar C, was released by the makers on social media on Saturday. Touted to be a horror comedy drama, Aranmanai stars Sundar C in the lead role, along with actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Raashii Khanna, Santhosh Prathap, Ramachandra Raju, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, K. S. Ravikumar, Jayaprakash, VTV Ganesh, Delhi Ganesh, Rajendran and Singampuli. The upcoming film marks the fourth installment in the Aranmanai film franchise.

The trailer shows a misfortune that affects a husband and wife, played by Santhosh and Tamannaah. After the husband dies due to a cardiac arrest while entering a forest, the wife is shown dying by suicide. We also get to see Sundar C play her brother, who senses foul play in her suicide and is determined to find the truth. The trailer shows all commercial elements, from song and dance, to comedy and an emotional drama.
Aranmanai 4 has a story by and is directed by Sundar C, with music by Hiphop Tamizha. The film is shot by cinematographer E Krishnamurthy, with editing handled by Fenny Oliver. Gururaj is the art director and Brindha Master has choreographed. Aranmanai 4 is set to release in big screens in April. It is to be noted that Vijay Sethupathi was earlier roped in to play the protagonist but he could not do it due to the date issues.

Aranmanai is a horror comedy film franchise created by filmmaker Sundar C. Aranmanai 4 is one of the most successful Tamil film franchises, with each part serving as a standalone film.
The first installment came out in 2014 and starred Sundar C, Hansika Motwani, Vinay Rai, and Andrea Jeremiah, among others. Aranmanai 2, starring Trisha, the filmmaker and Siddharth, was relaesed in 2016, followed by Aranmanai 3 in 2021, featuring Arya and Raashi Khanna.
