There have been various reports doing the rounds on Sundar C's Aranmanai 4 for quite some time. Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead role in it was one of the news which went viral in no time. However, the actor was later said to have opted out citing date issues.

The makers did not make any official announcement on the project and its cast and crew details. But they have come up with a surprise now, leaving cinephiles elated.

Aranmanai 4: The latest installment of the franchise is set for a release

While the first instalment of the franchise which was released in 2014 was a big hit, its sequel which hit the screens in 2016, too, managed to attract the audience to an extent. But the third instalment which came out in 2021 was a damp squib. The movie received flak owing to its unengaging screenplay.

The team has now revealed the first look of Aranmanai 4. It features a mother and her two kids looking at a huge bungalow which is possessed by an evil spirit. The characters' faces aren't revealed to leave the audience intrigued. The movie will be released as a Pongal outing in January 2024.

Tamannaah joins the franchise

The actress, who has had many projects this year, will be seen essaying one of the leads in Aranmanai 4. Raashi Khanna, who played the female lead in the third part, is also on board. It looks like the fourth part is connected to the last installment.

Trisha, Hansika, Poonam Bajwa and Andrea are actresses who were part of the franchise in previous outings. E Krishnasamy and Fenny Oliver have handled cinematography and editing respectively for Aranmanai 4.
