One of the popular horror-comedy franchises in Kollywood, Aranmanai, is set for the theatrical release of its third installment on October 14. Titled Aranmanai 3, the film stars a host of actors apart from Arya and Raashi Khanna, who play the leads in it.
The makers had earlier released three singles from the film, which had a few amusing BTS moments, featuring the likes of Vivekh, Manobala, Yogi Babu, Nalini, Sakshi Agarwal, Sampath and Vela Ramamoorthy among others. The team has now come up with its much awaited trailer. If the two-and-a-half minute video is anything to go by, the movie will be scarier than the first two installments which released in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
Quite surprisingly, except for the tail end, the trailer didn't feature any comic sequences despite a bevy of comedians starring in it. A dialogue in the trailer also hints at extra dose of horror element, unlike the first two parts which had almost equal amount of horror and comedy. Director Sundar C will be playing a cameo this time, too. Two elements from the first installment - the powerful Amman deity and Andrea Jeremiah's role - have been retained by the makers in the third part.
Arya was last seen in Amazon Prime Video's Sarpatta Parambarai while Raashi Khanna played the female lead in Tughlaq Durbar which dropped on Netflix last month. As soon as the trailer was unveiled by the makers on social media, the comment section on YouTube was taken under control by movie buffs who expressed their desire to watch the film for Vivekh who passed away earlier this year. The movie is one of the last projects of the legendary comedian, and film lovers hope that his presence will offer more entertainment for them.
