It's been more than two decades since Kamal Haasan and AR Rahman collaborated on a project. However, the legends have always shared their admiration for each other. The two of them were spotted at the Oscars Museum, leaving their mutual fans elated.

The pictures of the two visiting the place and having a gala time are doing the rounds on social media. The duo also watched Francis Ford Coppola's cult hit movie The Godfather, which was the inspiration behind Kamal-starrer Nayagan directed by Mani Ratnam in 1987.

Interestingly, Rahman clicked a picture of the Ulaganayagan watching the film and posted it on his Instagram page. He captioned it as "One G.O.A.T watching another G.O.A.T at the @academymuseum". Needless to say, this unanticipated gift sent film buffs into a tizzy.

Many followers of Rahman posted in the comment section that "And another G.O.A.T has posted it". Fans are eagerly looking forward to their collaboration. Shankar's Indian and KS Ravikumar's Tenali were the only projects that witnessed them coming together. Mani Ratnam is making a film with Kamal after more than three decades. In all probability, Rahman would be the music director for the movie which has been tentatively titled KH 234.

Many expected Rahman to come on board when Indian 2 was announced. However, Anirudh bagged the chance. Shankar went gaga over the young composer's music recently and fans have been waiting for a crucial update on the project since then.

Rahman had scored for Ponniyin Selvan 2, Maamannan and Pathu Thala this year in Tamil. He has Dhanush's Bollywood project and Jayam Ravi's film with Vels Film International among others in his kitty.
