AR Rahman, who has been organizing a few concerts in several parts of the world, enthralled his fans in Chennai when he announced that he is coming up with a show for them on August 12. Fans from across Tamil Nadu and a few other places booked tickets with never-before-seen enthusiasm.

The maestro took to his Twitter today afternoon to say that he is excited to meet his fans and requested them to leave early and secure their seats to have a memorable experience. However, little did his admirers realize that their happiness is short-lived.

He himself took to the social media page to inform that the concert has been canceled owing to heavy rain that lashed the city in the afternoon. With a heavy heart, he posted, "Owing to adverse weather conditions and persistent rains, it is only made advisable for the health and safety of my beloved fans and friends to reschedule the concert to the nearest best date, with the guidance of the statutory authorities (sic)."

Needless to say, countless fans who were on their way from different locations in the city and other districts, expressed shock over the unexpected news. 

Some of them couldn't control their emotion and said that they will come back for the next show, no matter what, and requested Rahman to announce the date soon. He replied to a few fans who were left heartbroken and said that he is looking forward to seeing a venue with next-level infrastructure to conduct such shows without any hindrance.

He also posted a few pics of the water-logged ground at the venue and the chairs which were arranged for the show. Fans are now eager to get an update on the refund and the date of the next concert.
