Apharan 2 preview: All you need to know about Arunoday Singh-Ekta Kapoor's renowned web series

Ekta Kapoor's created show is back with another season and stars Arunoday Singh as a police officer who sets out to another country with his designated sidekick in order to save his own nation.

What is Apharan 2 about?

Rudra Srivastava (Arunoday), a senior inspector, takes his life and career to the next level as he moves abroad to save his own country. 

What happened in Apharan season 1?

Apharan season 1 showed the back story of suspended cop Rudra Shrivastava. He is given his first task - kidnapping a girl for ransom. Things go horribly wrong from thereon.

Cast and their characters in Apharan 2?

Apart from Arunoday, a few more actors will be seen reprising their characters from the first season including Nidhi Singh as Ranjana Shrivastav, Saanand Verma as Satyanarayan Dubey and Snehil Dixit Mehra as Gillauri. Meanwhile, iconic actor and filmmaker Ekta’s father Jeetendra is set to make a cameo appearance in this web series.

Saanand Verma, the villain or the hero?

Saanand Verma as Satyajeet Dubey is the second lead in the series. He came across as the loser last time around. This time, though, he has an important role as he teams up with Rudra. Whether he comes out as a villain or hero is something you will have to decide after watching the series.

The latest instalment of this crime-comedy series has been directed by Santosh Singh and has been written by Singh himself along with Siddharth Sengupta, Umesh Padalkar, Anahata Menon and actress Snehil.

The Arunoday starrer series is set to release on March 18 on Voot, while the first season of Apharan is available to stream on Alt Balaji and MX Player.
