In 2016, Aparshakti Khurana made his big-screen debut with Aamir Khan's Dangal. Since then, the actor has been a part of movies where he has dipped more into supporting roles. Now, six years after foraying as an actor in the movies, Aparshakti made his web series debut with Prime Video's Jubilee, which has definitely become a game-changer for him. The actor shone as Binod Das, who adopted the screen name Madan Kumar and became a superstar of Hindi cinema in the 1950s.
During an exclusive interview with OTTplay, when asked if the success of Jubilee has affected the roles he will choose in the future, Aparshakti stated, "I think that would be wrong for my upbringing. Earlier too, there wasn't any plan on how to go about things. I think our field is so fickle that too much planning doesn't work, especially in today's times. At the same time, this kind of life planning is a little raw. We planned to get married to your first girlfriend, but that didn't happen (laughs)."
The Stree actor further said, "I've always taken one step at a time, and I think the more I stay in the present, the more I am happy. I love it that way, and moving forward, it'll always be like that. The only stress here is that it's a big challenge. I think that after Dangal, this is a project that has come into my life that I can be proud of all my life. And for that to happen, it took six years. So, the next such project will come my way; I have to see. But I think there's also fun in that, in that wait and those ups and downs. Every actor, director, and writer goes through that. I think that's the process."
Aparshakti became a household name for his role as the hero's best friend. The actor will be returning to his iconic role as Bittu in Stree 2. The horror comedy will be released in August 2024.
