Anweshippin Kandethum, the recently released police investigation thriller which stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role, had a decent opening at the box office. However, things started getting better for the Darwin Kuriakose directorial from Day 2, thanks to the positive reviews and great word-of-mouth publicity. According to the recent updates from trade experts, Anweshippin Kandethum has now crossed the Rs. 7 crore mark with its worldwide collections, within the first weekend of its release.

According to the recent updates from South Indian Box Office official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Anweshippin Kandethum has witnessed a massive growth in its box office collections, when it completed the first weekend. As per the reports, the Tovino Thomas starrer has crossed the Rs. 7 crore mark at the box office within the first 3 days of its release and has made a total gross collection of Rs. 7.38 crore.
The revised box office report also suggests that the Darwin Kuriakose directorial has made Rs. 3.18 crore on Day 1, and Rs. 4.20 crore on Day 2, from the worldwide box office. While considering the new box office updates, it is safe to assume that the police investigation drama will easily cross the Rs. 10 crore mark at the worldwide box office, within it completes the first week of release. The recent updates also suggest that the screen count of the movie has been increased across Kerala and overseas, thanks to the excellent word-of-mouth publicity.

Tovino Thomas played the role of SI Anand Narayanan, a young police officer who tries to solve a murder mystery along with subordinates, in the movie. Anweshippin Kandethum is penned by renowned writer-director Jinu V Abraham.
The investigation thriller features a stellar star cast including Siddique, Indrans, Shammi Thilakan, Baburaj, Arthana Binu, and others in the supporting roles. Santhosh Narayanan composed the songs and original score for the movie. Anweshippin Kandethum, jointly bankrolled by the banners Yoodle Films and Theatre Of Dreams, is expected to have its OTT release in March 2024, after completing its theatrical run.
