Anushka Shetty and Naveen Polishetty’s next titled Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty; here’s the first look

For those who waited long to see Naveen Polishetty on the big screen after Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya and Jathi Ratnalu, here’s some good news. His next, a light-hearted entertainer alongside Anushka Shetty, is finally gearing up for release. The film is directed by Ra Ra Krishnayya fame Mahesh Babu P and is produced by Vamsi-Pramod under UV Creations, the makers of Saaho and Radhe Shyam.

The title of Naveen Polishetty and Anushka Shetty’s was launched today. The film is named after the last names of the actors - Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. The title poster also featured the first look of the lead pair from the film. Anushka sports a brown jacket in an international location, while carrying a book that reads ‘Happy Single’.

Meanwhile, Naveen Polishetty sits on a wall, donning a green hoodie with the words ‘Ready to Mingle’ and a brown pant. Both the characters appear to be in their own dream worlds in the poster while the backdrop behind them is designed like a curtain. Reports suggest that the story is about a man who falls in love with a female chef who’s older to him.

With Anushka and Naveen being familiar faces among audiences in multiple languages, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty will simultaneously release in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam as well. The unconventional pairing of the duo is certainly a reason to catch the film in theatres. The shoot of the entertainer has been wrapped already and the post-production formalities are in full swing.

UV Creations recently released Kalyanam Kamaneeyam for Sankranthi and also distributed Nayanthara’s horror thriller Connect in December 2022. Their pan-Indian film Radhe Shyam, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, released in five languages last year as well. All of the films, however, struggled to perform at the ticket window and didn’t receive critical acclaim either.
