Celebrations are in order as Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli just announced the arrival of their son on Instagram after what felt like a tsunami of rumors floating around the star couple. For months now, rumors of the two expecting their second child have been viral, and it turns out they were all true after a lot of speculations. Anushka on her official social media front announced the arrival of her son Akaay and revealed that he was born on February 15. The two are already parents to a little girl Vamika born on January 11, 2021.

Anushka Sharma's Note:

Taking to her Instagram handle, Anushka Sharma in the official note announcing Akaay’s arrival five days ago wrote, “With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world! We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude, Virat & Anushka.”

Fans have been showing love for the star couple as they embrace parenthood for the second time. The two have been at the helm of rumors for a while as several leaked glimpses of Anushka Sharma trying to cover up her baby bump have been going viral on the internet. Rumors also had that they were going to welcome the child in London. The two have not yet announced where they are. However, the first confirmation about the news came from AB De Villiers who accidentally revealed that they are welcoming a baby soon.

However, in a YouTube video a week later AB De Villiers refuted his claims and told fans to let Virat Kohli and his family have their privacy. He said, "My friend Virat Kohli is still not available. I cry out to everyone to give him the privacy that he deserves. Family comes first. No one knows what exactly is going on. I am asking all of us to respect that. I did a bit of a blunder in my previous show and I apologize to the Kohli family for that.”
