Anurager Chhowa: Dibyojyoti Dutta to retire from the show?

There was a time when Anurager Chhowa was the Bengal topper for a year. But this Star Jalsha mega is currently suffering from an identity crisis. It can lose its slot at any time. It started with a love story of Surya (Dibyojyoti Dutta) and Deepa (Swastika Ghosh). However, according to reports, Surya has suddenly been removed. Dibyojyoti has not been seen in the serial for a long time. Arjun Chakrabarty is the new hero in Deepa’s life.

Hindustan Times Bangla contacted the actor to find out the truth. The actor smilingly replied, “I know fans have a lot of questions regarding this. They want to know where Surya is. But the track through which the storyline goes on shows no way for Surya to come back. But I did not leave the serial. I am in the story.”

Regarding the poor TRP, he said, “There was a time we were the consistent Bengal topper. Anurager Chhowa is a running project for two and a half years. After Covid, Mithai and Anurager Chhowa were the two longest-running serials. When we were in number one, I said that we were working to be the topper, and if we slid down to number two, we would work hard to get back to the topper position. If we go to the last position, we will work hard so that we don't remain there. Hard work stays.”

Dibyojyoti is now known at the national level owing to Anurager Chhowa. The serial is screened with Hindi dubbing on Star Plus, named Chookar Mere Mann Ko. Dibyojyoti said, “I went to Ranchi. There people asked me whether I was Dr. Surya Sen. They told me that they watched me regularly. I went to Netarhat. People showered love upon me there. What else do you need?”

Since no shooting is there now, Dibyojyoti spends his free time. He is a fitness freak and continues exercising even in this heat. He spends time with his family. He is reading a lot of books and writing. Anurager Chhowa streams on Disney+ Hotstar.
