A day into Bad Cop trailer finally being out and us getting to know more about Anurag Kashyap’s Kazbe, the filmmaker has explained what his character is really all about. One could easily spot the contrast in the character in the small promo as well. Kazbe is someone who has no tolerance level but at the same time, he is also all hearts for his family and will have fun. The filmmaker-actor explained the same thing in a recent interview, adding why Kazbe is not as villainous as some might have made him to be.

What Anurag said

While conversing with News18, Anurag Kashyap said that he loved the idea of Kazbe in prison and operating from there. The thing is, Kazbe, despite his deadly nature, is very attached to his family. This could take one back to the classic story of the Mexican drug lord, Pablo Escobar, who would kill but not let a fly harm his family. Anurag’s Bad Cop character might be a villain but the actor explains that he’s not the bad guy at all times. “In his head, he’s trying to do business and he’s trying to run a family and he’s having fun,” he signed off.

The trailer

Bad Cop trailer was unveiled a day back, and it saw Anurag Kashyap give us a new definition of ABCD. Gulshan Devaiah is the main protagonist on the show, and he is seen in a double role, Karan-Arjun. Although Karan is still a cop (bad cop), Arjun is a retired one and the brothers are not in talking terms. The show also stars Harleen Sethi as one of the leads. She plays Karan’s wife and senior.
