The Television show 'Anupamaa' is widely popular and has been loved by the audience for a few years now. A few days ago, Sudhanshu Pandey aka Vanraj quit the show which created a stir on the internet. Now, Madalsa Sharma, who is known for playing the role of Kavya in the show has also quit the Rupali Ganguly starrer show. In a recent interview, the actress opened up about the same and revealed the reason for taking this big step.
Why did Madalsa Sharma aka Kavya quit Anupamaa?
In an interview with Bombay Times, Madalsa Sharma informed that her decision to leave the show was not sudden and she has been feeling that the story of the show moved on from the earlier storyline which revolved around Anupamaa, Vanraj, and Kavya. She also claimed that her character of Kavya has brought an upheaval in Anupamaa's life that changed things for everyone. She said, “My character had tremendous growth, but in the past one year, I felt that the story moved on from Vanraj, Kavya, and Anupamaa.”
Madalsa further added that she felt there was not much spark and spice left in her character and if she continued playing the grey character she would have been part of the show even now. “For the past few months, the creative team tried to do something different with my character, but nothing worked out,” she sad. She then revealed that she, along with the producer of the show Ranjan Shahi mutually decided to take this decision.
A few days back when Sudhanshu Pandey left the show, he told freepressjournal, “For four years, I did my best and gave Vanraj Shah my all. But, I did feel that my growth was stunted and when I reached that stage, I decided to call it quits. I got some signs, so yes.”
