Now, he is gearing up for his 525th film, which highlights the immense experience this iconic actor possesses. Kher will next be seen in a film titled The Signature, which is inspired by the Marathi film Anumati. The actor recently unveiled the first poster of the movie along with a heartfelt message on his Instagram, sparking excitement for the upcoming trailer. Along with the poster, the release date has also been announced.
The Signature Poster Released
According to reports, The Signature is an adaptation of Anumati, a film that starred Marathi cinema legend Vikram Gokhale. Anupam Kher will take on the role played by Gokhale, and the story will be set in the Hindi heartland. The film is directed by Gajendra Ahire, who also directed the Marathi original. Sharing his thoughts about parents and aging, Kher posted a video on Instagram, captioning it with, “Ek signature se shuru hota hai rishton ka safar. Ek anokhi kahani, jald hi! #TheSignature premieres 4th October on #ZEE5.” Fans have been showering him with praise for both the message and the poster, and many are eagerly awaiting the film’s release on Zee5.
Directed by Gajendra Ahire, The Signature features an ensemble cast that includes Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Annu Kapoor, Ranvir Shorey, Neena Kulkarni, and Manoj Joshi. The film will be available for streaming on Zee5, and subscribers with an OTTplay Premium subscription will also be able to watch it.

The Signature was selected for the Namaste Vietnam Festival 2023, where it was screened. Speaking about the experience with The Print, Kher shared, “It’s always an honour to represent one’s country on an international platform. With The Signature opening the festival and also being honored there, this achievement has become twice as special for me. Indian cinema is on par with international cinema today. To represent it globally by being a part of it is an honor I am truly grateful for. This step will surely strengthen the bond between India and Vietnam and help increase the reach of our cinema.”
