Anupam Kher on the strain surrounding the destiny of Neena Gupta and his films: We're not that type of actor who became an actor by mistake or chance

Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta, who had a good movie run in 2022, spoke on the strain surrounding the destiny of their films coming out this year a day after the trailer launch of Shiv Shastri Balboa.

Anupam discussed the matter with ANI and said that he believes he can speak for them both. They are not the kind of actors who got into the business by accident or happenstance. They have dedicated their entire lives to it and attended training college. Yes, they do want movies to succeed so that they may work on additional projects like this. But even if it doesn't, work doesn't stop, and life doesn't stop; they will just work harder.

Both the critics and audiences praised the 2022 movies with Anupam and Neena. Neena starred in the films Goodbye and Vadh, while Anupam had a strong performance in the wildly popular The Kashmir Files. They both also starred together in Uunchai, and the two actors will now appear together on screen in the upcoming family comedy Shiv Shastri Balboa.

Neena responded that since they already knew each other, there was no hesitancy in working; it was extremely easy.

Anupam continued by saying that in theatre, they have a trust exercise where they cover an actor's eyes with a rag and then push them. The actor has faith in his fellow actors to stop him. Therefore, it is the same here. He is confident that he will receive the same skill and sincerity in anything he does in answer to that. Therefore, Neena and he share this feeling, and he wishes she did too.

Shiv Shastri, an Indian retiree and ardent fan of the movie Rocky, serves as the film's protagonist and centres the plot. He relocates to the USA and finds himself on an unexpected road journey across the American heartland with Neena's character, learning that it's never too late to reinvent yourself.

Anupam is introduced in the teaser as someone who taught fighters who went on to win gold medals, rather than as a boxer himself. He feels horrible after meeting his son in the United States and learning that his granddaughter is unaware of Rocky. The character played by Neena Gupta, who hasn't come home in eight years, meets Anupam as events unfold.

When asked about his newest movie, Anupam stated that it tells the story of two people who work together despite experiencing significant ups and downs in their lives but are unaware of them. Even though their main characters aren't Bonnie and Clyde from the famous Hollywood crime film with the same name, they end up being Bonnie and Clyde.

Ajayan Venugopalan is the director of Shiv Shastri Balboa, which also has important roles for Jugal Hansraj, Neena Gupta, Nargis Fakhri, and Sharib Hashmi. The movie is scheduled to premiere on February 10, 2023.
