Anupam Kher begins shooting for his 523rd film IB 71 led by Vidyut Jammwal; see post

Anupam Kher has begun work on his 523rd film, an espionage thriller titled IB 71, starring Vidyut Jammwal in the lead.

National Award-winning director Sankalp Reddy, best known for Ghazi, is helming the picture.

Kher took to social media and shared an update from the film’s set. He can be seen wearing a wig, a gilet and posing with Jammwal.

More details on his role as well as the supporting cast members are yet to be revealed.

Jammwal had begun shooting for the film, which is his debut production via Action Hero Films, in January this year.

According to PTI, IB 71 is based on a true incident of how an Indian intelligence officer “outwitted the entire Pakistani establishment and gave the Indian armed forces the required advantage they needed to face a two-front war.”

Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Reliance Entertainment are also producers along with co-producer Abbas Sayyed.

Kher was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, which has earned Rs 179.85 crore at the Indian box office. The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty Anupam Kher Darshan Kumaar Pallavi Joshi and Chinmay Mandlekar.

The Kashmir Files is currently screening in theatres.
