Joju George’s Antony is an upcoming family drama film, gearing up for its theatrical release. Until now, the makers have only released a first-look poster of the film. Speaking of the latest, the teaser of the film will be screened along with Vijay’s Leo, in the theatres on October 19.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo is a highly anticipated film, and it is seen as an excellent opportunity for Antony’s team to showcase their teaser along with the Vijay starrer. Antony is planned as a pan-India release in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi, on November 23.

Antony’s plot, cast and crew

The story of Antony focuses on family relations. The first-look poster of the film featured Joju in a rugged look, reminiscent of the characters he played in Porinju Mariyam Jose and Joseph. The actor underwent intense physical training to fit the role in the film. He had previously shared a photo on social media, showing off his toned physique. Meanwhile, Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the female lead in Antony, which is written by Rajesh Varma. She described her character in the film as something she had never done before and expressed excitement about being offered the role. This marks her first project with director Joshiy.

Antony can also be considered a reunion of the Porinju Mariyam Jose cast, as Chemban Vinod Jose and Nyla Usha, who also appeared in that film directed by Joshiy, have roles in Antony. The film is produced by Einstein Media, Nextel Studio and Ultra Media Entertainments. The film also boasts a technical crew that comprises Renadive (as cinematographer) and Syam Sasidharan (as editor). Jakes Bejoy, known for his work in Kaduva and King of Kotha, has composed the film’s music.
