Anthem of Martin is the introductory song from the film, and the last promotional material to be released before the film's theatrical outing on October 11

If you’ve been wondering why an earlier Martin press meet had gun-toting models in the backdrop, the Anthem of Martin – the hero introduction song – that came out today provides the reference. The song features leading man Dhruva Sarja with several background dancers, sporting uniforms and weaponry, and describes his gangster avatar.
Throughout the promotions of Martin, Dhruva has maintained that he is not Martin, going to the extent of citing film title examples like Ghajini, which was the antagonist’s name. Dhruva was Arjun Saxena, he maintained, but that did not stop rumour mills from speculating that he would be seen in dual roles.
If the Anthem of Martin is anything to go, it seems that Dhruva is Martin too, in what appears to be an undercover mission for the soldier. As Martin, who, in Dhruva’s words is a bit of a “psycho”, he is paired with Anveshi Jain, while Arjun’s love interest is Vaibhavi Shandilya. The best guess is that the film explores why and how Arjun takes on the mantle of Martin, a ruthless gangster.
The song, choreographed by Murali master, has Dhruva in multiple looks, with the focus squarely on the swag of the character, rather than having an energetic dance number. Dhruva does bust a move or two, but that’s about it. Mani Sharma’s composition has been sung by Prudhvi Chandra and features lyrics by director AP Arjun and Shreemani.
Martin, which has been in the making since 2021, is finally releasing in theatres on October 11. Earmarked as a pan-India film, it will release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, among others, with the major competition at the box office coming from Superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. Martin is based on a story by Dhruva’s maternal uncle and actor, Action King Arjun Sarja, and is produced by Uday K Mehta, who was supposed to make Dubaari with the former. When that film, which would have reunited Dhruva with Pogaru maker Nandakishore did not pan out, they took up Martin instead.
