Actor and producer Anshuman Jha, who is all set for the release of his film Lakadbggha, which is slated to be the first Indian film on an animal vigilante, shares that he lived with the story for six years before it came to life. He also spoke about the real reason behind this.
The film is directed by Victor Banerjee and the action sequences are done by international stunt artiste Tsahi Shemesh, who was a trainer on Hollywood movies like The Avengers, Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Talking about the film, Anshuman said, "I lived with the story for a good six years, because it was a big ambition for me. I knew that the action sequences required an international stunt artiste to choreograph them, because I wanted to do something unique and not what happens daily. I wanted an international DOP and musician to tell the story in a certain style, and all this I knew since the beginning. So, I waited for all these years to collaborate with the right people."
Elaborating on the action sequences of the film, he said, "Whether it is Ridhi or me, we all trained extensively for the film. I went to New York to train under Tsahi Shemesh. This is the first time an Indian actor has worked with someone like Tsahi. He said something interesting to me -- that he usually gets to train actors who have a beefed-up body."
Thanking all the crew members who joined the team from various parts of the globe, the actor added, "We want to work with happy people and the biggest achievement of Lakadbaggha is the joy everyone had while making the film. Everyone is a dog lover and I think that we all bonded over that."
Produced by First Ray Films, Lakadbaggha also stars Milind Soman, Paresh Pahuja, Bijou Thaangjam, Adrita De, Trushant Ingle and Harshit Dang. It is all set to release in theatres on January 13.
