Lady Superstar Nayanthara's upcoming film Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food is all set to hit screens on December 1. The film, which is helmed by Nilesh Krishnaa, has Nayanthara and Jai in the lead. Here's all you need to know about the film.
All about the trailer
The trailer features Nayanthara as a young woman from an orthodox family, who aspires to become a chef. But when she realises that her dream might also involve her cooking meat, which is forbidden in her family, she keeps her passion a secret.
But an accident during her cooking session discloses her plan. Nayanthara finds inspiration in Sathyaraj and Jai and participates in one of the biggest cooking challenges.
The film is set in Srirangam and traverses to other places along with the journey of the lead character.

What's Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food about?
The film depicts the struggle of a young woman to pursue her dream of becoming a chef and the challenges she has to get through to fulfill the same. This is the first time that Nayanthara is playing a chef in her career.
The comeback of Nayanthara and Jai
The last time the duo had come together was for Atlee's Raja Rani (2013). The pair went on to become a hit. Hence, fans are excited to see the reunion of the two actors.

The star cast includes Nayanthara, Jai, Sathyaraj, Renuka, Achyuth Kumar, Kumari Sachu, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsly, Karthik Kumar and Suresh Chakkaravarthy.
Music for the feel-good drama is by Thaman, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing is by Praveen Antony.
A December release
Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food, which is bankrolled by Zee Studios, Trident Arts and Naad SStudios, is gearing up for September 1 release. The digital and satellite partners are yet to be announced.
