It's official! Nayanthara's 75th film Annapoorani is all set to hit screens on December 1. The makers dropped a brand new poster in which Nayanthara is seen serving up a feast and standing with a ladle. They captioned it, "#Annapoorani is bringing you a feast and will see you in theatres on the 1st of December. Get ready!"

What's Annapoorani about?
The team had recently dropped a teaser in which Nayanthara seemed to hail from an orthodox and upper caste household. The frames reveal that the film has been shot in Srirangam, Trichy and the camera then zooms into an agraharam where the mother is seen performing a pooja. However, she is a massive foodie and is seen reading a cookbook that has recipes of meat dishes, hidden beneath her academic books.

Star cast and crew
Annapoorani, directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, marks the reunion of Jai and Nayanthara after a decade. The last time they teamed up for a film was in Atlee's Raja Rani (2013). The star cast comprises Nayanthara, Jai, Sathyaraj, Achyuth Kumar, Kumari Sachu, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsly, Karthik Kumar and Suresh Chakkaravarthy. The film has music by Varisu composer Thaman. While the cinematography is by Sathyan Sooryan, editing is by Praveen Antony. The film is bankrolled by Zee Studios, Trident Arts and Naad SStudios.

Nayanthara shoots for 'Mannangatti Since 1960'
The Lady Superstar is currently working on Mannangatti Since 1960, which is helmed by YouTuber Dude Vicky, who is making his debut in the film industry. The film stars Yogi Babu, Devadarshini, Gouri Kishan, Narendra Prasath and others. The shoot for the film began in Kodaikanal is happening at a brisk pace. Going by the first glimpse, it looks like Nayanthara will be playing a Goddess of Justice in the film. While Sean Roldan has composed the music, cinematography is by RD Rajasekhar and editing by G Madan. The film is bankrolled by Prince Pictures.
